Shelby Jean Leahy

Shelby Jean Leahy, age 86, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on March 23, 2023, at North Okaloosa Medical Center.  Shelby was born in Charleston, Illinois to Paul and Helen Davis on December 8, 1936.

Shelby is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Helen Davis, Sisters, Marie Rhoden, Dorothy Briehl, and Barbara “Bobbie” Sweeny; Brothers Fred Davis and Kenneth Davis; Grandson Mikie Sappington.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Leahy.  Children Pam (David) Goehringer, Gail (Buddy) Adams, John (Crystal) Darden, and Kathy Mace.  Sister Betty Woodyard.  Grandchildren Jeannie Sappington, Kristin Clifton, Benjamin Bolton, Samantha Morris, John Paul Darden, Brandon Bolton, Suzan Ortiz, Stephanie Rinehart, and Tressa Reed, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Shelby graduated from Charleston High School, IL.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend to many and will be sorely missed.

Visitation is from 10:00 AM and Funeral Service is from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, 1405 E. John Sims Parkway, Niceville, FL 32578.  Burial to immediately follow at Live Oak Park Memorial Cemetery, 112 North Avenue East, Crestview, FL 32536.
