Rosalene Weech

December 27, 1937 ~ September 6, 2022 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Rosalene Weech of Niceville, FL passed away after a short illness on September 6, 2022, at the age of 84.  She was born in Dexter, KY, on December 27, 1937.  Her father was in the Navy and was stationed in Key West, FL, and that’s where she met her husband of 55 years, Rex.

She was preceded in death by her “honey” Rex Weech, Jr., her mother, Sarah Harper, and her father, John Harper. She is survived by her brother, John “Wayne” Harper (June), sons Frank (Diane), Christopher (Jennifer), and John (Kelly), and her daughter, Marguerite. Her seven grandchildren are Rachel, Michael, Alexis, Allison, Emily, Jenna, and Britain.

Rosie retired as a Registered Nurse, where she worked many years with mental health counseling.  To her, there were no strangers.  There were only friends she hadn’t met.  She was gregarious, sassy, and funny.  She loved to travel, work puzzles, check in with her friends on Facebook, collect colorful giraffes, and wear bright red clothes.

Faith inspired Rosie, and she was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Valparaiso, FL. A celebration of Rosie’s life will be held on October 9, 2022 at 2:oo PM (CT) at New Hope, and all are welcome.  For those who can’t attend in person, the celebration will be streamed on New Hope’s Facebook page.  In lieu of flowers, Rosie would appreciate a donation to any charity that is important to you.
