It is with immense sorrow we announce the passing of Patricia “Patsy” Lee Barhorst Mozealous who died Thursday, October 13th, 2022. She is now at peace in the arms of Jesus Christ.
Patsy was born October 27th, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of George and Marjorie Barhorst (deceased). Her only sibling was her sister Lucille (deceased). She grew up in Cincinnati until she moved to Miami, Florida in the early 1950’s. It was there she met H. Graham Mozealous (deceased) and started their lives together. They raised 4 children, Harry Graham (deceased) (Trish), James Douglas (Dawn), Cynthia Lee Hern (Dennis) & Donna Michelle Lueck (Kurtis). She was a wonderful mother & mother-in-law and truly loved her many grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her niece, Laurie Douglas.
Patsy had a 40+ year career with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. During her career, she provided invaluable assistance to anyone when needed, and developed many friendships with the people she came in contact with. She made many lifelong friends and retired after a successful career.
As life passed on, she eventually found her journey, which brought her to Crestview, Florida near her daughter, Donna and son-in-law, Kurtis. She was cared for at Eden at Crestview and passed away in hospice care, singing beautifully until the end.
While there is sadness, Patsy lived a wonderful life full of her sharp and witty humor, her ability to say whatever was on her mind, and as mentioned, her beautiful singing voice. She knew the words to every song she heard!! She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Patsy’s Life will be held on Thursday, October 27th, 2022, on a beach in North Florida.
We will love you forever Mom! Rest In Peace after a beautiful, giving & caring life.
