Nancy L'Orange

Mrs. Nancy Eloise L'Orange, of DeFuniak Springs, passed away on September 8, 2021, at the age of 84.  She was born in Shiremanstown, Pennsylvania to William Henry Gruver and Marian Pearl Wolfe. 

Nancy worked her professional career as a secretary as a civilian at military bases then in the automobile parts business.  In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling league, camping, bunco, yard sales, time spent with grandkids, family, and spending time with friends.  Her greatest passion was her family!  She enjoyed being a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother.  She enjoyed cooking for her family, and especially baking her traditional Christmas cookies.  Known to her husband as “Shug” she and Charles were married for fifty-three years. 

 She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Charles L’Orange; her daughter, Lori Ellen Rhodes; son, Edwin Tracy Rhodes, IV (Judi); daughter, Amy Rhodes Benbrook; son, Alan Charles L’Orange (Jan); grandchildren, Robby, Courtney, Lindsey, T.R., Anna, Mason, Twyla, and Ashli; sister, Helen Runk; six great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Gruver; brother-in-law, Tom Spotts; sister-in-law, Gale Gruver; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She is also survived by many loving friends and former high school classmates in Florida and Pennsylvania.
