Mary Lee Morris

Mary Leora Morris, 83, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at her home in Niceville, Florida. Mary Lee was born in Dayton, Ohio, and was a long-time resident of Niceville. She was the loving mother of Vaughn (Elizabeth) Leatherwood, dear sister of Charlie (Marcia) Morris, and predeceased by parents, Ivan and Chelsea Morris.

Mary Lee retired from the Okaloosa County School system after thirty years as a teacher.  She was a member of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church in Niceville and belonged to P.E.O. International, Chapter GP. A long-time gardener, Mary Lee was a member and past president of the Valparaiso Garden Club. 

She will be missed by all whose lives she touched, including her dogs Ellie and Jazmine. The family appreciates all who helped with her care during the last months of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to an animal charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held at Saint Simon’s Episcopal Church on Hwy. 98, FWB, Tuesday, Jan. 4th, 2022, at 1:00 pm with a visitation an hour prior. Private inurnment at later date.
