Martha Louise Shaw

Martha Louise Shaw, 86, of Choctaw Beach, Florida, passed from her earthly life into her eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 11, 2021.  Martha was born on August 15, 1934 in Etowah, Arkansas to James Rufus and Ilean Jackson.

Martha met the love of her life, Richard Shaw, in Blytheville, Arkansas, where they were married on August 17, 1959. Together with their family, they were moved several times by the United States Air Force, finally retiring and returning to Blytheville, Arkansas in 1972. In 2002, Martha and Richard relocated to Choctaw Beach, Florida to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Martha was a prayer warrior and her greatest desire in life was to see others have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Ilean Jackson, brothers, Junior Jackson and Garlen Jackson, son, Gary Ayers and grandson, Ricky Ayers. 

Martha is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Shaw, sister, Rose Kirk, brother Earnest Jackson, three children, Judy Shillingburg, Rufus Ayers, and Donna Householder, grandchildren, Eric Cantrell, Blake Overman, Lauren Householder, Jennifer Miller, James Ayers, Julie Melton and Joshua Ward, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
