Mario Curtis Giacometti

Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Mario Giacometti, age 69, of Niceville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at his home.

He was born on July 6, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan to Vivian and Mario Giacometti.  Mario attended Michigan University until entering the United States Air Force in 1971.  He then married Cynthia DeBolt on November 13, 1976. 

During his 24-year military career, he earned and was awarded several awards including the Bronze Star during Desert Storm.  After his retirement, he worked for Global Connection to Employment Inc. for 23 years. 

Mario is survived by his wife, Cynthia Giacometti; two sons, Mario S. Giacometti and Joshua E. Giacometti; daughter-in-law, Sarah Giacometti, and one grandson, Drake Giacometti.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home in Niceville, Florida followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Mario will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors at 2:00 p.m.
