Tribute

Our much loved Judy passed away peacefully at the age of 75 at her home in Blue Water Bay after a long, hard battle with cancer.  Judy was born in Anniston, Alabama, and remained good friends with many, many of her school friends, by whom she is loved and fondly remembered.  She lived in south Georgia for several years , then Atlanta Georgia, before moving to Pensacola, Florida in 2001, and then to Niceville, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James M. Scroggin and Willa Mae (Amberson) Scroggin. Surviving Judy, are her husband Fred; brother Max (Theresa); niece Samantha Myer (Jeff); nephews Garrett Scroggin and Ian Scroggin; grandniece and nephews Ansley, Wyatt and Andrew Myer; Step-children Vicki Hardage, Missy Lemons, Johnny Updike, and Jenny James; along with many step grandchildren: and her best pal, her dog “Jazzy”.  She is remembered for being vivacious, talkative, and her love for parties, dancing, and for animals. A Celebration of life gathering will be at the Blue Water Bay Golf Course Club House 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Sunday January 13, 2019, with as she wished, all to dress casual and lots talking, laughter, and sharing of memories.  Special thanks go to the nurses and doctors at White-Wilson, Twin Cities and Fort Walton Beach Hospitals, Emerald Coast Cancer Center, and the 21st Century Oncology for all the caring and love given to Judy over the last months.  Each of you are truly special.  As Judy wished, in lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport, Florida.  Our Judy is now truly “dancing with the stars.” Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed or viewed at www.mclaughlintwincities.com.
