Joyce D Tucker

Joyce Dean Tucker, loving and graceful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, stepped peacefully into heaven on November 6, 2020. She was born on March 31, 1931 in Cleveland, TN to William and Mabel Watson. She graduated from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1949. While in Daytona, she met the love of her life, Lawrence Andrew Tucker, who she lovingly referred to as Buck. They were married on December 20, 1950 in Daytona Beach. Joyce and Buck made their home in Valparaiso/Niceville where they raised their two sons. Joyce spent many years as an employee of Valparaiso Bank and Trust and in 1974 was named an Assistant Vice President and Executive Officer of the FHA/VA Mortgage Loan Department until she retired. She was a longtime member of FBC Valparaiso and later became a member of FBC Niceville. She enjoyed being a long-time member of the Mary Wright Sunday School Class. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 3 of her siblings. She is survived by her sons Drew Tucker and his wife Kim and Scott Tucker and his wife Karen as well as 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A Visitation will be held 11:00am – 12:00 pm, Tuesday November 10, 2020 at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, FL.
