Dr. Edward T. Johnson “Dr. J”, age 67 of Niceville, Florida passed away on January 4, 2023. Dr. Johnson was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Edward & Ann Johnson.
Dr. Johnson was known for so many things to so many people; son, brother, husband, dad, friend, and mentor. To others, he was the Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge in Niceville, he was a recognized Chiropractor, an Eagle Scout, a member of the Civil Air, a critical thinker, a team doctor, and an inspiration to all. He was a man who believed the maximum was not enough and saw the potential in everyone! He lived his life with adventure and drive. He was a jack of all trades and a master at all! There was nothing he couldn’t do once he decided he was going to do it. He enjoyed boating, surfing, race car driving, running, biking, swimming, playing tennis, flying, and loved the game of golf - you name if he probably did it. To his family, friends, patients, business partners, and acquaintances alike he taught the wonderful lessons of life. He was loved and cherished.
Dr. Johnson is preceded in death by his father, Edward Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Theresa; children, Josh (Carrie Ann) and Cortnee (PJ); six grandchildren, Cameron, Kylee, Kasey, Jackson, Lyla, and Haylee; sister, Carol (John); nieces Liz & Chrissy; and his beloved dog, Sugar.
A visitation along with Masonic Rites will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 11:00 am at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, in Niceville. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Heritage Church of Freeport. Dr. Johnson will be at rest at White House Cemetery, in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
