Donna Hahn

Donna Ann Hahn passed away from complications of lung cancer on Friday, September 7, 2018, at the age of 62.  Born into an Air Force family in Misawa Air Base, Japan, Donna was raised all over the world.  She graduated from Arundel High School in Gambrills, Maryland.  Donna married her best friend John Hahn thirty-five years ago and traveled more of the world and this great country.

She was an avid dog lover and reserved special affection for her beloved Weimaraners.  Donna was dedicated to being a voice for children, serving as a Guardian ad Litem for eight years.  She also served as chairman for the GAL Children in Need Fund.  She was a cook par excellence and loved to dote on her family and friends, never forgetting anyone’s favorites. Her passion for artistic expression will endure in countless paintings and sketches, but her annual hand-drawn Christmas card will be missed by all. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, her absence will be felt in big ways and small.

Preceded in death by her parents Robert and June Chambers and her brother Matt, Donna is survived by her husband, John, her son Michael and his wife Katie, her step-daughter Carol and her husband Terry, and her step-daughter Marcella Fezza and her husband Paul, as well as four grandchildren, Matthew, Isabella, Emerson, and Jack.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday September 19, 2018, at 10am at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, 1405 E John Sims Pkwy, Niceville.  In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Children in Need Fund at https://nwfgal.org.
