Barbara Jean Hall

May 17, 1938 ~ November 30, 2022 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Barbara Jean Keen was born May 17, 1938, to Ike and Reunelle Keen in Waycross, George.  She entered the gate of heaven on November 30, 2022, at the age of 84.

Barbara married Robert Wayne Hall on March 29, 1959.  Barbara and Wayne traveled the world with the military for many years.  In 1965 they moved, from being stationed in Japan, to Eglin Air Force Base.  They settled in Choctaw Beach, Florida and stayed there until Wayne’s retirement from Eglin in 1977.  In 1982 they moved to Saudi Arabia where they spent five years.  After returning to Choctaw Beach, they lived there until 2007 when they decided to purchase a fifth wheel and RV full time.  Barbara and Wayne spent 5 years on the road traveling across the United States.  When they decided to settle back down again, they returned to Choctaw Beach.

Barbara loved her family dearly, and spending time with her children and grandchildren who loved and adored her as well.  She enjoyed traveling, sewing, reading, and crossword puzzles.  Her matriarchal spirit was one of love and acceptance for her children.  She supported them with her whole being and made it a point to never get in their business and leave it to them and God to figure out.

Barbara was a member of Niceville Church of Christ for 59 years.  She cared deeply for God and her church family.

Barbara Jean Keen was a wonderful wife, mother, Nana, friend, and beautiful child of our King.  While she will be sorely missed, we would never ask her to return from the splendor of the reward she has now.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?  Run in such a way as to get the prize.  Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.  They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.  1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Reunelle Keen, sister Sara Stephens, and son Mark Steven Hall.

Barbara is survived in death by:

Her husband: Robert Wayne Hall of their home in Choctaw Beach.

One daughter: Mona Gayle Carter and her husband Kim of Jacksonville, Florida.
