1931 - 2010
Wallace Conrad Anderson, 78, of Niceville, Florida passed away on February 13, 2010. Conrad was born and raised in Tennessee. His family moved to West Virginia and he graduated from Sherman High School in Seth, West Virginia in 1950 and joined the United States Air Force. His career field was Radar and Electronics. He was a Missile Warning and Space Surveillance Sensor Superintendent. He retired in 1974 after 24 years of honorable service. Conrad lived in Florida since 1970. He enjoyed traveling, the outdoors and poker. He loved his family, his country and his wife of 54 years, Frances.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Beecher and Cora Anderson, brothers, Dolan Anderson and Samuel Anderson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Anderson of Niceville, FL; children, Pamela Phipps of Warren, OH, Michael Anderson and wife, Deborah, of Teays Valley, WV, Julie Anderson-Kort of Niceville, FL; grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob and Matthew Phipps of Warren, OH, Rachel and Michelle Anderson of Teays Valley, WV, Justin Anderson-Kort and Cody Anderson of Niceville, FL; brothers, Gary Anderson and wife, Barbara, of Colcord, WV, Norman Anderson of Sissonville, WV, Milton Anderson and wife, Connie, of Blooming Rose, WV; sisters, Carolyn McCormick of Sissonville, WV, Thelma Young and husband, Junior, of Columbus, OH, Sharon Blankenship and husband, Bill, of Charleston, WV; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Twin Cities Cremation Services & Funeral Home, 1405 John Sims Parkway E, Niceville, FL 32578. A time of visitation will be held 5:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. www.twincitiescremationsfunerals.com
